COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing is available to all individuals at RMDY Clinic. We are proud to be approved by the Ministry of Health to provide Pre-Departure PCR Swab Testing services.

What to know about PCR Testing

  • If you wish to book an appointment for more than one person (eg. for yourself and other family members), please inform us in advance.

  • No pre-payment is required. We understand that plans may change. Rest assured you may reschedule or cancel your appointment with no extra charges.

  • Travellers are responsible for ensuring that the appointment date is within the testing window that is in line with your country’s destination requirement. RMDY Clinic is not liable for any additional costs incurred should there be any rejection from the airlines, embassy and authorities. Please check with the respective embassy for advice if you need to confirm that the date you have booked is correct.

  • The Digital HealthCerts issued will be automatically notarised and can be used for travel. No further action is required when the link to the memo and QR code is sent to you via email.

Here’s how the process goes:

  1. Check your testing window. Make sure your flight is within the next 48-72 hours from the point of testing. The testing window differs across destination countries. For more details about pre-departure requirements, please refer to the ICA SafeTravel website.  

  2. Book an appointment with us or contact us via Whatsapp, call or email.

  3. Our friendly staff will contact you to confirm your appointment.

  4. On the day of your appointment, please bring along your identity card, passport and email booking reference indicating date and time of flight.

  5. The PCR test takes less than 15 minutes.

  6. Get your digital notarised HealthCert via email by 6pm the next day.

FAQs

  • The required testing window is calculated based on your flight timing. Generally, you should undergo your Pre-Departure PCR Swab Test at least 48 to 72 hours prior to flight (whichever is the applicable requirement set out by your destination country).

  • You do not need to re-seek an approval for the revised flight timing in the event that your flight timing is changed. Your approval letter may thus indicate a flight timing that is different from your revised flight schedule.

    On arrival at our clinic, you will need to show:

    • Details of the original flight

    • Details of the revised flight timing

    Please note that we reserve the right not to conduct a Pre-Departure PCR Swab Test should inconsistencies or irregularities be noted.

  • Yes, you may walk in without a prior appointment. However, we may have to serve other patients who have made prior appointments before attending to you. To avoid any unnecessary waiting time, we recommend that you contact us before dropping by.

  • You are advised to reduce contact with other individuals to lessen the chance of contracting COVID-19 before the swab test results are out. We will email the results memo to you within 2 hours of us receiving it. In the event that the result is positive or inconclusive, we will contact you via phone. You are advised to print hardcopies of your results and bring it with you overseas.

  • For General Public: If you have tested PCR positive, please follow the instructions here.

    For VTL travellers: please follow the instructions given by MOH in the Testing Notice which will be sent to you via SMS. You may check with the embassy or airlines for the travel requirements if you have recently recovered from COVID-19.

  • It is possible that the test result may return as inconclusive. In the event that this occurs, a repeat test may be conducted and is chargeable. Should this result affect your departure, RMDY and/or the appointed laboratory vendor(s) shall not be held responsible or liable for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities.

  • Yes, PCR Test is available for children above 24 months old.

  • Yes, you can request to take a PCR Test voluntarily.

  • Unfortunately there is no subsidy for COVID-19 PCR Tests for both pre-departure (leisure or business) and voluntary testing.
